PRIVATE TUITION – If you are short on time or haven’t found classes or workshops that perfectly suit what you’re after, then one-on-one tuition might be the answer for you. After a two-year hiatus from offering private tuition due to lack of time, I am opening up some very limited time slots in my calendar. Sessions are targeted and designed for your specific requirements, and all materials are provided. While one-on-one tuition is more expensive per hour than group classes, less time is required due to the finely tuned sessions – recommended session times are 1 ½ hours – 2 ½ hours.

Venue: Sessions are held in my own studio in Northcote, Melbourne. Occasionally I can do on-location sessions but these incur an additional fee to cover travel, depending on the location.

Summer workshops!

Dates will shortly be announced…

Introduction to Fashion Illustration is aimed at complete beginners or those with some drawing experience. In a short amount of time it will take someone from the very foundations of fashion illustration through to an understanding of the various media most useful in this discipline. Excellent for recapping previous drawing skills also. Everyone can learn to draw; they just need the right approach and techniques. We begin with the fashion figure – what does it look like?  How do I get it down on the page quickly and easily? We then progress through faces, the rest of the body, then onto media and rendering technique, and creating your own croquis figures.

This course is excellent for reviving previous drawing skills and taking them further, or for applying skills from a related discipline such as fine art or graphic design, to the art of Fashion Illustration.  Tips and short cuts included!

When: The next course will begin in early 2018, held one evening per week  6.30pm – 9.30pm: 8-week course.

Cost: $655 (inc gst), includes most materials and a set of notes.  **Bring a friend for $595 each

Venue: Frankie and Swiss: Studio 8, 199 Toorak Road (Corner Claremont Street) South Yarra.

What you will need:  Coloured pencils, 5 Copic marker pens (details upon enrolment), brushes for watercolour paints, paint palette. All other materials including paper are supplied.

How to book a spot in The Drawing Salon classes:
